Fight the
Refugee Ban Bill

1 people have signed the pledge so far - help us reach 15,000!

The Government has launched the biggest attack on the refugee protection system that we have ever seen and is aiming to close the door to desperate people who arrive in the UK to seek safety.

Building on Priti Patel’s 2022 Anti-Refugee Bill, the new laws proposed by Home Secretary Suella Braverman aim to introduce a complete ban on the right to seek safety in the UK for anyone who arrives here outside of the government’s limited schemes for Ukrainians, Afghans and people from Hong Kong.

This legislation will cause misery to refugees, cost millions to taxpayers and drive desperate people to take ever more dangerous journeys as there is no other way for them to claim asylum.

Unless we fight back, Britain’s days as a safe haven could be over.

Please join us in taking a stand, and sign the pledge to fight the Refugee Ban Bill, and all of the Government’s anti-refugee laws.

Sign the pledge

I pledge to:

  • Defend the right to seek safety from war and persecution in the UK
  • Speak out against attempts to make it harder to be recognised as a refugee or criminalise and punish those who make their own way to safety
  • Challenge the Refugee Ban Bill and anti-refugee laws which will risk the lives and well-being of people
  • Work towards a refugee protection system that treats all people with dignity and compassion

Signed,

I am happy for Refugee Action to email me with their latest news and information on how I can support refugees:
