People seeking asylum are fleeing war and persecution. Yet the system they rely on all too often fails them. More people than ever before are waiting longer than six months – and sometimes years – for a decision on their claim.

A severe lack of information and legal advice is leaving people in the dark and unable to make their case. And bad decision-making is putting lives at risk, with one in three appeals resulting in original decisions being overturned

This must change. Write to your MP and ask them to tell the Home Secretary that our asylum system is in urgent need of reform.
